Course
B.Sc Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion Care Technology is an undergraduate program offered by KMCH Institute of Allied Health Science Coimbatore. The program aims to bring out competent cardiovascular perfusionists to support cardiac medical team during open-heart surgery and related procedures. They conduct cardiopulmonary bypass using the heart-lung machine and other related medical equipment, closely monitor the patient's blood flow and additional vital signs during open-heart surgery, administer intravenous fluids and medication. The syllabus covers cardiothoracic anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, fetal and neonatal cardiac development and perfusion science. Successful students pursue their career as Cardiovascular perfusionists, Perfusionists in super speciality hospitals and cardiac-related health care institutes.
Duration : 3 Years + 1 Year Internship
Eligibility : The candidates must have pass Higher Secondary (10 +2) from a recognized board
