Course
B.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology is an allied health science undergraduate program offered by KMCH Institute of Allied Health Science Coimbatore. It is the study of professionally using radioactive elements in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Nuclear medicine detects abnormalities in the early stage of the disease and helps in more successful treatment. The syllabus gives theoretical and practical exposure to the subjects including fundamental of nuclear physics, human anatomy & physiology, Image Hard Copies Production in nuclear medicine, image processing techniques/X- Ray film, Radiopharmacy and Radiochemistry, Physics of Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation, Nuclear Medicine Techniques and Special Procedures, Quality Assurances in Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Biology, Radiation Safety in Nuclear Medicine. Completed graduates can work as nuclear medicine technologist, radiologist, nuclear pharmacist or they can do masters or research in nuclear medicine.
Duration : 3 Year + 1 Year Internship
Eligibility : The candidates must have pass Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board
