Bachelor of Science in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology is an undergraduate program offered by KMCH Institute of Allied Health Science Coimbatore. The program aims to bring out qualified graduates who ensure the smooth functioning of operation theatre by assisting the doctor, helping the patient before, after and during the surgery, sterilizing operation theatre materials and instruments, operating and maintaining operation theatre equipment and keeping patients’ records. The curriculum covers subjects including applied anatomy and physiology, clinical pharmacology, clinical microbiology, medical ethics, anaesthetic techniques, CSSD procedures, intensive care, principles of anaesthesia, anaesthesia for speciality surgeries. Graduated students can look out for career opportunities in Operation Theatre, Critical Care Unit, ICU of various health care institutes or pursue masters in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology
Duration : 3 Year +1 Year Internship
Eligibility : The candidates must have pass Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognised board
