Mathrusri Ramabai Ambedkar Dental College & Hospital is a renowned dental Institution and considered to be one of the best in India. Established in the year 1986 by Anand Social & Educational Trust it affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It offers graduate and post graduate degree courses in dentistry which are approved and recognized by the Dental Council of India. Alumni
The Alumni Association holds regular meetings to plan its involvement and developmental activities with the support of the college during the last five years. M R Ambedkar Dental College and Hospital has established its Alumni Association “MILANA M.R.A.D.C. ALUMNI”. The Alumni Association keeps its alumnus, faculty and institution in touch with each other, nurture and cherishes them. The main objective of the association is to bridge the gap between the college and alumni. The Alumni Association is formed with the objectives to help maintain harmony with old students. It is developed in order to maintain programs to connect and engage more alumni. They provide a platform for everyone to interact with each other and share their knowledge and experience. The Alumni play an active role in voluntary programmes like mentoring students. They donate their valuable time to offer career support to current students. They provide a forum for bringing together the old students of the college, so that they can effectively contribute their expertise in current technologies and research in the country and make them proactive to face the challenges in recent industrial developments. The Alumni also enhances the students experience and give them that competitive edge in todays tough job market. The Alumni play an important role to promote the academic, physical, moral and spiritual growth of the members of the College. A major contribution of the alumni is by providing donations to the College. The donations can be of any type including books, cash, kinds etc. and can be either directed towards a specific activity or to support a range of activities.
Research
M R Ambedkar Dental College and Hospital serves as a well-known centre for guiding and supporting research activities for its students and staffs. The institute has an Advanced research Centre with latest equipments like Research Microscope, Sterio microscope, Penta head microscope, Microtomes, laser units, research endodontic microscope, Deep freezers, Biochemical Analysers, Mixers, Imaging software’s etc. for meticulous research. Institution has a well-established research and ethical committee, which include well-known researchers, excellent in the field of innovation. Students / Staffs doing research are guided and analyzed by this expert team of members. Priority is given to appointing staff, who possess rich experience in research and good academic credibility. Once the mentor identifies the student as fast learners, in the first year, they are given orientation towards presentation of papers/posters/table top clinics in conference and conventions. Once the students enter clinics, a detailed workshop will be organised by the institute to seed the research ideas in these young minds. Such students were guided and encouraged to publish their innovations in research journals. Our postgraduate students have undertaken numerous research projects and published enormous number of research papers in esteemed journals.
