Applications Invited for Admission to Bachelor of Design Regular Course 2022-23

Applications are invited for Bachelor of Design courses for the year 2022-23 in AICTE-recognized educational institutions in Kerala. Applicants can pay the application fee online through the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in or through any of the branches of Federal Bank by downloading the Chelan from the website from 28th May to 25th June 2022. Candidates can submit their Online application submission till June 27, 2022. The application fee is Rs.1200 /- for the general category and Rs.600 /- for SC / ST category. The application fee will not be refunded for any reason. To apply for this course candidates must have the following eligibility; Candidates should have passed the Plus Two of Kerala Higher Secondary Board or any other equivalent qualifying examination with 45% marks, reserved candidates should have secured 40% marks in total. Marks will not be adjusted to the next integer. Candidates can visit the prospectus for details regarding nativity. The entrance examination will be held on 9/7/2022 from 10 am to 11.40 am at the examination centers in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Kozhikode districts. The exam will be objective based on Social and Basic Science (10th level), General Knowledge, English Language, Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, and Design Awareness and will consist of 100 questions of 100 minutes duration. Admission to the courses will be based on the rank list of the Kerala State Design and Aptitude Test (KSDAT) conducted by the LBS Center. Allotment will be made on the basis of special/prescribed reservations from the rank list prepared under the above criteria. Allotment will be conducted in a centralized manner. Hall tickets for the entrance examination can be downloaded from the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in upon notification. Hall tickets will not be mailed. Participating in the entrance examination will be on a temporary basis. The prospectus can be downloaded from the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in. There are four stages to submit the application: Registration, Payment of the Application Fee, Uploading the Certificate, and Final Submission. All steps must be completed in a timely manner. Applications that do not make a final submission will be considered incomplete and the application will be rejected. The printout of the application form or other certificates should not be sent directly or by post to the LBS Center under any circumstances. The information will be published on the website after verification of the application submitted by the applicants. Complaints should be reported within the stipulated time as stated on the website after reviewing the published information. If the applicant examines their claims and makes a complaint, the applicant will be solely responsible for the consequences of failure to notify in writing within the stipulated time. Complaints received after the due date will not be considered for any reason. College options can only be registered by candidates who are ranked in the rank list. The time limit for registering the option will be published on the website and in the press. Details about the colleges will be made available on the website. The option can be registered within the stipulated time on any computer with an internet facility. Applicants who do not register for the online option within the time limit will not be considered for allotment. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected. No correspondence will be made in this regard.

Applicants will not be allowed to enter new information into the application after submitting the application or to submit any certificates for any kind of reservation benefit or other benefits. After the publication of the results of the entrance examination, the allotment will be made by the Director, LBS Center for Science and Technology, subject to the terms of the Government approved prospectus on the basis of the rank list. Candidates should clearly read the various provisions of the prospectus before submitting the application.
