About Us
East Point College of Engineering and Technology (EPCET), Bengaluru was established in 1999 by Dr. S. M. Venkatpathi under the Aegis of M. G. Charitable Trust in Bangalore, stands as a beacon of academic excellence in the vibrant landscape of Bangalore East. It is an “Autonomous” Institution Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & Government of Karnataka (GoK).
EPCET, Bengaluru is “ACCREDITED” by NAAC with “A’ Grade and three Under Graduate programs viz., CSE, ECE & ISE are “Accredited” by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. Institute has received the Grants and established “AICTE – IDEA” Laboratory facilities for providing the “Skill Training” for students. The Institute offers a diverse range of Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral programs, setting a benchmark for quality education. Education at East Point is of the highest standard. At the heart of EPCET's success is its distinguished faculty, comprising some of the brightest minds from across the Nation. These experienced educators, many of whom hold Ph.Ds, bring profound knowledge and engaging teaching styles to the classrooms, ensuring a top-notch educational experience. Faculty and Students have access to a wealth of information of more than 8000 e-journals and 12000 e-books. The Institution actively promote interdisciplinary interactions through its multi- disciplinary campus, enhancing the overall learning journey for students.
The college places a strong emphasis on industry associations, aligning with major companies like Salesforce, Ui-Path, VMware, AWS, Texas Instruments, ARM University, CISCO etc. These partnerships fuel the Industry Institute Integrated Learning Programs (IIILP), ensuring students are well-prepared for the dynamic demands of the industry.
Beyond academics, EPCET fosters holistic student development through intercollegiate sports, cultural events, and student’s club activities. Institute has established “Sports” facilities and a “GYM”.
