The course encompasses the study of secondary metabolites that includes phenolic compounds, glycosides, terpenoids, and phytosterols that are derived from nature, inclusive of plants as well as terrestrial and marine animals and microbes. Addressing to a crucial requirement of the present times, DSU is offering an exclusive program, a one of its kind, leading to B.Tech in Computer Science & Technology with a focus on Entrepreneurship skills. This would give the students an option to think innovatively to identify ideas that could be converted into a product. To inculcate entrepreneurship skills, the seminar-based curriculum would be more of doing and learning rather than traditional class-room learning. Further, the teaching-learning would have more industry inputs. Evaluation processes would be to assess and ensure the student’s continued ability to apply knowledge to a real product that should go to market. The student would be directly interacting with working professionals and Visiting Faculty / Professors on a regular basis. These professionals would be mentoring the students on individual basis in converting their ideas into a product. Every idea would have a team of 3-5 students; team members are chosen by the original owner of the idea or by the Chief Mentor. Dayananda Sagar University is located at Shavige Malleshwara Hills, Karnataka. The university provides undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programs in various specializations.
Dayananda Sagar Universityoffers B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc, BBA, B.Com, B Pharm, Pharma D, B.Sc (PB), BPT and B.A (Journalism) at UG level. It also offers M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Pharm, MPT and MBA at PG level. In addition to it, Ph.D. programs are also offered under full-time as well as part-time mode.
The university also provides an option for the offline application process.
For B.Tech courses, a 10+2 pass with PCM is mandatory.
Students have to qualify Dayananda Sagar Admission Test (DSAT) for UG courses.
Performance in DSAT/ GATE/ PGCET will be considered for admission to the PG programs under the Faculty of Science.
The students have to score well in DSAT/ MAT/ CATor PGCET in order to get admissions in MBA.
Admission to Ph.D. is granted on the basis of performance in the written test followed by an interview.
