Course
Pharmaceutical Chemistry specialization introduces students to all aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong emphasis on the detailed understanding of the physical and chemical properties of chemical compounds as well as their reactions. Students are trained in the application of modern analytical tools and interpretation of the analytical data. Pharmaceutical chemists play a significant role in this global effort in drug discovery and also in drug development.The department is actively involved in the synthesis of heteroaryl nucleus and screening for their possible pharmacological activities, obtaining new molecules by using green chemistry, study of polymorphic forms of drug molecules and isolation and characterization of chemical constituents from medicinal plants and evaluation of their pharmacological activities.The department is actively involved in publishing the research papers in both National and International journals and National and International conferences.
Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility : Candidates should have passed B.Pharm from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
Higher Studies : Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
