CEE Opened the Second Phase Allotment Facility for Kerala PG Medical Courses Admission

The second Phase of Centralized allotment to PG Medical Degree Courses for 2022 in Kerala starts on 17-10-2022. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations is planning to fill the newly included courses/seats in this allotment phase.

Option confirmation is mandatory to participate in Second Phase. The CEE allows option registration only to the newly added courses in the list. For example, suppose a candidate is allotted a seat in the 1st round and joins the allotted seat. In that case, CEE retains its higher options, and all the options listed below the allotted option will be deleted, thus enabling only upgradation/retention in the same seat. Suppose a candidate who joined in a seat in Phase 1 does not confirm the option in 2nd Phase; he will not be considered for upgradation in the second Phase, but the seat joined in the first Phase will be retained. So if a candidate joined in the first Phase does not want upgradation in Phase 2, they should not confirm options or, after confirmation, delete all options registered. The candidates included in the Kerala merit list will be given the facility to register options for the newly added courses.

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations State merit list included candidates can log in to their official website, www.cee.kerala.gov.in and click the 'PG Medical 2022-Candidate Portal' link to access the candidate's homepage. Candidates can rearrange/delete their existing higher-order options and register new options to the freshly included courses after clicking the available 'Confirm' button.

The following candidates are eligible to participate in the 2nd Phase allotment. They can click the available 'Confirm' button on the candidate's home page. The candidates who have received an allotment in Phase 1 and got admission to the allotted colleges continue in their admitted status. The candidates who did not receive any allotment in Phase 1 and are interested in being considered for the second Phase allotment. The candidates who are interested in registering new options for the freshly included Colleges-courses in the Phase 2 allotment.

The candidates who will be excluded from the Second Phase of State Counselling are the following. The candidate was allotted a seat in the first Phase of State counselling but failed to join the allotted seat. The candidate who joined the allotted seat in the first Phase of State counselling but afterwards vacated the seat. But they can register options for the fresh colleges-courses added in the second Phase. The candidate who has been admitted in the second round of All India counselling are also excluded.

All candidates should note that the CEE opens their website for enabling Online Option Confirmation, rearrangement/deletion of existing higher options and for registration of new options to the freshly included colleges-courses on 17-10-2022 and ends on 26-10-2022, 10 AM. The second phase allotment will be published on 28-10-2022. All candidates who received an allotment should join the college and course in which they are allotted along with the necessary documents and pay the college fee from 31-10-2022 to 2-11-2022, 3 PM. The CEE expects the college authorities to approve and submit the admitted candidates list through OAMS (Online Admission Management System) by 2-11-2022, 4 PM

Suppose a candidate has been allotted a seat in Phase 1 and, after the Phase 2 allotment, is retained in the same seat. In that case, there is no need to do the joining process again, and they will be considered joined in the Second round if they continue in the admitted status after the last day of Phase 2 joining specified date. A candidate joined Phase I; if he desires to vacate the seat, they may do so without penalty until one day before option registration's last date to the second Phase of State allotment.

A candidate who joined in the 2nd round is ineligible to participate in further counselling rounds. Surrendering of seats also will not be permitted. It is in line with the National Medical Commission regulations wherein a candidate admitted in the All India/State second round will not be considered for later phases of All India/State counselling. The admitted candidates list as of the last date of admission in the second Phase will be forwarded to MCC as the candidate's list is ineligible to participate in any later rounds of All India/State counselling.

CEE's penalty conditions in the second Phase are the following. Suppose a candidate does not join the allotted seat in the second Phase or vacates the joined seat allotted in the first Phase or second after the second Phase, and before the option registration to Mop-up allotment notification is published, they may exit with forfeiture of any earlier paid security deposit. The money will not be refunded and will be considered a penalty. The candidates who vacate the allotted seat in round 1/round two after the last date of joining Round 2 will not be considered for further counselling rounds. If a candidate vacates the first phase/second phase joined seats after the Option registration for Mop-up allotment notification is published, they will have to pay an amount equivalent to 10% of the annual tuition fee as a penalty to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and also the security deposit paid to the CEE will not be refunded. They will not be considered for further rounds of counselling.

The subsequent phase conditions (Mop-up and Stray vacancy-filling rounds) are explained in the Prospectus.
Candidates allotted to courses should remit the fees at the college and take admission in the allotted college-course as per the CEE-prescribed schedule. The CEE will not give any extension of time for reporting to the college under any circumstances.
