For the Attention of the NRI Applicants of the Government of Kerala MBBS/BDS Course
The validity of the sponsor's visa, which is one of the documents to be submitted by the students seeking admission to the NRI quota seats in MBBS/BDS Courses in Kerala, must be up to the admission closing date to the Medical and Allied Courses. But as the National Medical Commission has not yet announced the counselling schedule of MBBS/BDS Courses for the academic year 2022-23, there is uncertainty regarding the closing date of admission to the Medical Courses. Further, there is a delay in getting the renewal of expired visas in some countries. In this instance, per the directions from the Admission Supervisory Committee, the candidates who have uploaded expired/expiring visas along with the online application will be granted provisional NRI status if they upload an 'online acknowledgement copy' received at the time of applying for visa renewal. Further, in the absence of 'online acknowledgement copy', the provisional NRI category will be allowed to produce a sponsor's sworn affidavit in the format available on the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations' website to the extent that the valid visa shall be produced on or before the last date fixed by the CEE for option confirmation for the second phase allotment to MBBS/BDS courses. Thus, candidates who have uploaded expired/expiring visas along with the online application should upload the sworn affidavit from the sponsor regarding the visa validity through the 'KEAM 2022- Candidate Portal' available on the CEE official website 'www.cee.kerala.gov.in' on or before the 24th September 2022, 3 pm.
If the medical candidate fails to produce a valid visa within the stipulated time, the CEE withdraw the applicant's candidature to the NRI Category in MBBS/BDS courses. The CEE also cancels the allotment/admission, if any, given under the NRI quota. The proforma of the sworn affidavit procured from the sponsor is available on the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations website. No affidavit or supporting documents need to be sent to the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations by e-mail/by post.
The Helpline number is 0471- 2525300.
