Kerala Medical Course Admission NRI Claim Upload Facility is Opened

The KEAM applicants for Medical Courses (MBBS/BDS) admission who have not submitted the NRI documents must now upload the documents for claiming the NRI seats available in Self-financing Medical and Dental Colleges. The CEE opens the facility for uploading new NRI documents from 14th September 2022 to 19th September 2022, till 4 pm.

The KEAM applicants who wish to be considered under NRI quota seats can upload the required documents by clicking the menu item 'Upload NRI Documents' available on the candidate's profile page. They can log in to their profile page on the CEE official website www.cee.kerala.gov.in by giving their application number and password through the 'KEAM - 2022 Candidate Portal' link. Since the NRI documents contain many certificates, candidates should upload all the certificates after converting them into a single PDF file.

As per the Hon'ble Supreme Court judgment dated 23rd March 2020, the non-Keralite category II candidates (NK II) can also submit NRI certificates during the time frame. Before submitting the documents, candidates should go through the detailed Notifications issued by the CEE on 6th April 2022 about the Online application invitation for KEAM 2022 admission, which is available on the CEE website. The KEAM candidates who wish to apply for the NRI quota seats available in the Private self-financing Medical or Dental colleges must upload a Passport copy and Visa /OCI/Green Card documents attested by the Embassy/Consulate of their respective sponsors. The Sponsor's job should be mentioned in any of the above documents. The Visa validity should be up to the admission closing date for the Medical course. In case the Sponsor's employment is not mentioned in the above documents, the candidate has to submit the Employment certificate of the Sponsor attested by the Embassy/Consulate authorities. They should also submit the certificate establishing the Sponsor's relationship with the candidate, which can be obtained from the Revenue authorities. (Format is in Annexure XXX of the Prospectus). The CEE also accepts the applicant's educational certificate containing the Sponsor's name if the Sponsor is a parent. A sworn affidavit from the Sponsor in the stamp paper worth Rs. 200/- should be produced (Format given in Annexure XL of the Prospectus). The Notary Public shall also notarise the same, disclosing that the student is dependent on the Sponsor and all the expenses, including the candidate's tuition fee and special fee for the entire course, will be borne by the Sponsor. Suppose the Sponsor is abroad, he should submit the sworn affidavit (Format is given in Annexure XL of the Prospectus) notarized by the Embassy/ Notary Public/ Consulate as per the rules and regulations prevailing in the country the Sponsor is currently working, disclosing that the student is dependent of the Sponsor and that all expenses, including candidate's tuition fee and special fee for the entire course, will be borne by the Sponsor. The CEE will not consider the certificates submitted after the last date or submitted through e-mail/by post/by hand for availing of the claim under any circumstance.
