Conducting Body of NEET

National Testing Agency (NTA): The NTA is responsible for organizing NEET. It was established by the Ministry of Education to streamline academic assessments in India. NTA manages the exam pattern, syllabus, and results.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2025

Candidates must meet these criteria to appear for NEET 2025:

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: Must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2025 (born on or before December 31, 2008).
  • Maximum Age: General candidates must be 25 or younger; reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC) can be up to 30 years.


Educational Qualifications:

  • Class 12 Qualification: Must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: General candidates need 50% marks in the core subjects, while SC/ST/OBC candidates require 40%, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates need 45%.

  • NRIs/OCIs/PIOs: Eligible to apply.
  • Foreign Nationals: Must confirm specific requirements with institutions.


NEET 2025 Exam Pattern
