NTA Invites Applications for Common University Entrance Test for UG Programmes for the Academic Year 2022-23
National Testing Agency conducts Undergraduate entrance tests for all the Central Universities for the academic year 2022-23. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) provides the candidates a single-window opportunity to get admission to any of the Central Universities across the country. CUET UG -2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The interested candidates have to visit the Information Bulletin for Undergraduate admission of required Central Universities for the Undergraduate admission programs.
Details of programs offered by Central Universities are being made available on their websites. The online Application Form for UG programs will be available from 2.04.2022 on the website http://cuet.samarth.ac.in/. The candidates who wish to appear for CUET UG 2022 should follow the required eligibility of the desired Universities for selecting the options from the offered UG Programmes. The Online Application will be available from 2.4.2022 to 30.4.2022.
The exam will have 4 sections. Section 1 A will have 13 languages and the candidates can choose any of the languages, in section 1 B will have 20 languages, candidates can choose any other languages apart from Section 1. In both sections, 40 questions should be attempted out of 50 in each language. In section II there are 27 specific subject domains, the candidates can choose a maximum of 6 domains as per the desired Universities. Section III will be General test, candidates should appear for 60 questions out of 75. To select languages from Section IA and IB, Domain subjects from Section II and General Examination under Section III candidates should refer to the requirements of the desired University.
The level of questions will be based on Class XII. If any university allows the students of previous years in Class XII for the present academic year, those students will also be eligible to attend CUET UG 2022. The candidates should choose the same language as he/she had chosen for their latest Class XII board exam. However, if any university allows any flexibility in this regard, then it can be applied accordingly in CUET UG 2022. Candidates should carefully check the eligibility requirements of various Central Universities. If the subject to be studied in the degree course is not available in the list of 27 Domain Specific Subjects, then the candidate can choose the subject closest to him/her selection. The examination will be conducted in two shifts for more than one day depending on the number of candidates and languages they had chosen.
