Revised Schedule and Guidelines of Mop-Up Allotment to PG Medical Course 2021

As per the press release published on 1.04.2022, the State Mop-up Counselling for PG Medical courses for the academic year 2021-22 were put on hold. This was done in the view of cancellation of the allotment of the Mop-up round of All India Counselling and the conduction of a Special round of counselling in lieu of judgement dated 31/3/2022 issued by the Honourable Supreme Court in WP(C) No 174/2022. Also, those candidates who are allowed to surrender their seats as per the procedure laid down by the Government of Kerala approved prospectus for admission to PG Medical courses were given a chance to rejoin their surrendered seats before 9/4/2022, 5 PM in accordance with judgement by the Honourable Supreme Court in WP(C) 202/2022 dated 7/4/2022. Thus, those candidates who hold a state PG Medical seat as per status taken at 9/4/2022, 5 PM are considered as admitted candidates of Round 2 and the list of such candidates was handed over to Medical Counselling Committee to the DGHS letter dated 5th April 2022. In view of the unprecedented circumstances of the All India Mop-up round and withdrawal of candidates from All India allotment, the schedule for Kerala State Mop-up is revised. The revised schedule and the provisions are from 18.04.2022 to 19.04.2022, 4 PM provision for the surrender of seats for the participation in the State Mop-up round. It should be noted that these candidates are only eligible to participate in State Mop-up Round. From 20.4.2022 to 21.04.2022, 4 PM provision for new option registration for State Mop-up round. The candidates who are eligible for new option registration in the State Mop-up round are candidates who have not received an allotment or do not hold a PG seat as of 19.4.2022, 5 PM. The candidates who have surrendered the allotted seats/rejoined round 2 seats as per the notification dated 8.4.2022 before 19.4.2022. The candidates who are not holding a seat in All India Round1, Round 2 or Special Round as per the guidelines of MCC.

Candidates who get allotment in the All India Mop-up round will be exempted from this State Mop allotment based on the list provided by MCC. If any vacancies arise after Mop-round allotment then it will be filled through Stray Vacancy Round based on the option given for the Mop-round allotment. Seat once allotted in the Mop-up round will be final and seat transfer or surrender of the seat is not allowed. Candidates need to carefully consider the state as well as All India regulations for the Mop-up Round when making decisions as no more opportunities are available for anyone.
