The State of Karnataka UG Medical and Dental Courses Admission
The state of Karnataka government directed Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to conduct Common Counselling for UG Medical and Dental Courses admission for all government, private (including minority), NRI and other seats in the Karnataka state.
Karnataka Examinations Authority is inviting online applications for MBBS and BDS admissions for 2022-23 in the Karnataka state and admission to AYUSH courses to Karnataka candidates. The candidates who have scored more than or equal to the prescribed minimum score in UGNEET 2022 are eligible to register and apply online for UG Medical/Dental/AYUSH courses for the academic year 2022-23. The seat matrix for admission in the government, government-aided institutions and private institutions shall be 15% for the All India Quota and 85% for all State and Union Territory Quotas. UGNEET 2022 eligible candidates can also register online for AYUSH seats.
Non-Karnataka candidates are not eligible for reservation. So in the UGNEET-2022 examination, if they have scored the required minimum 50th percentile or above, fixed for the 'GENERAL (UR)' category as per the qualifying criteria, then they are eligible to register for admissions through Karnataka Examinations Authority or for any other states in the State of Karnataka. However, Non-Karnataka candidates are not eligible for SC/ST/OBC eligibility criteria.
Applicants are requested to read the information bulletin UGNEET-2022 before registering online for medical, dental, and AYUSH admission in the Karnataka state for more information about eligibility criteria, seat classification, eligibility to claim such seats etc. The information bulletin is available on the KEA website, http://kea.kar.nic.in.
The candidates can register and apply online from 14.10.2022, 1 pm. Interested candidates must pay the fees online by 19.10.2022 before 4 pm. The candidates who paid the fees can submit their application details by 20.10.2022, 11.59 pm. Karnataka Examinations Authority will publish the registration fees, documents verification schedule, original documents verification and other details on their website. In addition, KEA requests the candidates to follow the schedule as per the instructions.
The document verification completed UGCET 2022 registered candidates must enter their correct UGNEET-2022 Roll Number in the online registration module on the KEA website. They should use their USER ID and Password created earlier for UGCET 2022 to become eligible for medical, dental and AYUSH admissions. After entering UGNEET 2022 roll number, enter the OTP received, login, pay the fees and complete the application process by selecting the declaration. Later, take the printout and verify the NEET Roll number printed on the application form.
