B.Sc. Respiratory Care Technology (Lateral Entry) is a developing branch of allied health science undergraduate program offered by BGS Global Institute of Allied Health Sciences Bengaluru. The course deals with the evaluation and treatment of patients suffering from breathing problems to serious respiratory diseases. It is a growing field, and they should possess invasive skills like intubation, advanced airway placement, arterial-line insertion, Cardiac Catheter advancement, Intravenous Line Insertion, Tracheostomy Re-cannulation, Naso-Tracheal Suction etc. BGS Global Institute of Allied Health Sciences is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) Bangalore. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) syllabus covers Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Physics, Respiratory Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Diagnostic Methods for Cardiopulmonary Disease, Respiratory Technology, Applied Pharmacology and Pathology, Respiratory Care Equipment, Respiratory Therapy Techniques, Life Support System, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
