Course:
Master of Science (M.Sc.) OBG Nursing is a PG Programme offered by Adhiparasakthi College of Nursing Chennai Tamilnadu. M.Sc. OBG Nursing is a two-year postgraduate course which gives in-depth knowledge in the reproductive system and health of women. They take care of teenage girls having menstruation-related issues to elder women dealing with menopause-related issues. The course taught to professionally aid women starting from pregnancy to childbirth. They also help in treating women with reproductive problems and infertility. The course train students to work in cancer wards to take care of breast and other reproductive organ cancer patients. The course gives in-depth knowledge in reproduction, pregnancy, standard child delivery and nursing management, the role of nurse practitioner, newborn, pharmacy dynamics in obstetrics, family welfare services, infertility, menopause and abortion. The successful students can work as a nurse practitioner, nursing specialist, educator or researcher in OBG/GYN field.
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility:
The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc.Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with not less than of 55% aggregate marks from an institution that is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
