Course
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a doctorate level.Electrical and electronics engineering, the branch of engineering concerned with the practical applications of electricity in all its forms, including those of the field of electronics. Electronics engineering is that branch of electrical engineering concerned with the uses of the electromagnetic spectrum and with the application of such electronic devices as integrated circuits and transistors.
Eligibility
- The candidate shall possess a Master Degree in Engineering / Technology / Management/ Science of VTU or any other University with minimum of 60% or equivalent Grade at Master’s Degree examinations. However, a relaxation to the extent of 10% shall be allowed to SC/ST or any other category as notified by the Government of Karnataka from time to time OR candidate with a minimum of five years experience in teaching or research, subject to the approval of VTU.
- A candidate satisfying the above criteria can meet the concerned Heads of the Departments for further information.
- In addition to the above, the candidate shall be qualified in the University Level Research Aptitude test, the result of which is valid for a period two years.
