Course
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Communication Engineering is a doctorate level program.Electronic engineering (also called electronics and communications engineering) is an electrical engineering discipline which utilizes nonlinear and active electrical components (such as semiconductor devices, especially transistors and diodes) to design electronic circuits, devices, integrated circuits and their systems. The discipline typically also designs passive electrical components, usually based on printed circuit boards.
Eligibility
- The candidate shall possess a Master Degree in Engineering / Technology / Management/ Science of VTU or any other University with minimum of 60% or equivalent Grade at Master’s Degree examinations. However, a relaxation to the extent of 10% shall be allowed to SC/ST or any other category as notified by the Government of Karnataka from time to time OR candidate with a minimum of five years experience in teaching or research, subject to the approval of VTU.
- A candidate satisfying the above criteria can meet the concerned Heads of the Departments for further information.
- In addition to the above, the candidate shall be qualified in the University Level Research Aptitude test, the result of which is valid for a period two years.
