Course
The Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology and Economics (BA-PSE) Department at AIMS Institutes, Bangalore was established in the year 2014 and is affiliated to Bangalore University. It is recognized by Government of Karnataka. as one of the well-known psychology colleges in Bangalore.
A BA in economics will only allow careers in economics and similarly a BA in sociology opens doors to careers in social fields. Sociology and economics as social sciences are closely related since economics has a large influence on social studies. While economics deals with the production, consumption and distribution of wealth, sociology allows us to study these aspects in relation to the societal structures. A bachelor’s degree that combines all these fields in one programme, offers high career value and opportunities for students.
Duration
The course is spread over a 3 year period split into 6 semesters.
Eligibility
1. KARNATAKA / Non-KARNATAKA
- Pass in PUC or any other equivalent examination. Students with good communication skills are preferred.
2. STUDENTS FROM SRILANKA, NEPAL, BANGLADESH & BHUTAN
- GCE/JGCSE/GCSE Certification with passes in a minimum of TWO subjects at 'O' level & TWO subjects at 'A' level.
- Pass Certificate (12 years) of any discipline, recognized by the national level board / council of any country.
3. FOREIGN STUDENTS
- GCE/JGCSE/GCSE Certification with passes in a minimum of FIVE subjects at 'O' level & TWO subjects at 'A' level.
- Pass certificate /Diploma of a Secondary Stage Level Examination(TWELVE Years) of any discipline, recognized by the national level board /council of any country.
Course Outline
The syllabus is spread over a 3 year period split into 6 semesters. Psychology subjects are mixed in with sociology subjects & economics subjects to create a holistic programme.
