Department of Information Science and Engineering was established in the year 2016 with the establishment of AJIET, Mangaluru. The department is offering bachelor of engineering programme in Information Science & Engineering with an intake of 60 with excellent infrastructure. The department has well-qualified dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff with well-equipped laboratories to fulfil the academic needs of the students.
B.E. Information Science and Engineering is an Under-Graduation course.Information science focuses on understanding problems from the perspective of the stakeholders involved and then applying information and other technologies as needed. In other words, it tackles systemic problems first rather than individual pieces of technology within that system.It also throws light on how to analyse and interpret the raw data. It is an academic field which is primarily concerned with analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, dissemination, and protection of information.

Candidates who have passed in 10+2 Examination are eligible with 45% marks in aggregate with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology, are eligible.
