Course
Bachelor of Arts (Hons) English is an undergraduate program. Bachelor of Arts (Hons) English offered by Akal University Studies reflects the expansion, diversification and confluences at both the institutional level as well as in the dynamic disciplinary fields of literary and cultural studies and linguistics. The objective of the Department is to teach focused courses in these core areas at undergraduate and masters levels, and also a well-focused research program and post-doctoral levels. The main emphasis is to inculcate student’s professionalism, as part of a discipline with skills and abilities valuable in teaching, research, publishing and business. Further, the Department aims to give students a sense of themselves as citizens of a larger community by encouraging participation in service of learning.
