Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) Community Rehabilitation is a health science program offered by Alva’s College of Physiotherapy and Research Centre Mudbidri. The program helps the physiotherapist to develop advanced physiotherapy skills, communication skills, proper health care delivery and primary care to patients of all age groups at their home/community. They help home-returned patients in further treatment and long term management. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences syllabus exposes the students to Concepts of Community Physiotherapy, Community based Rehabilitation, Health Care Delivery System, Disability types, assessment & prevention, PWD Act(2001), Modes of Disability, Attitudes of the community towards disabled, Health promotion of all age group, women, obese patients, cardiovascular& pulmonary patients, musculoskeletal patients, neurological patients, sports persons, Women & Child Care, Geriatrics, Industrial Health, Project.
