Course
BE in Computer Science & Engineering is an undergraduate program. Computer science and engineering are now cornerstones of the information society. This course is designed to enable learners for industry, academia, and public service, providing technical leadership by solving significant problems across a broad spectrum. The course is cross-disciplinary, allowing students to learn the language specificities of computer science, explore programming or modelling and design, and all of the other core aspects of the subject, whilst being also trained in industrial ethics and engaging in industry-inspired lab sessions.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 and has enhanced to 120 from academic year 2012-13. Department of Computer Science & Engineering was accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi from 01-07-2019 to 30-06-2022 for the period of 3 years. The Post Graduate course, MTech in Computer Science and Engineering has introduced from academic year 2012-13 with an intake of 18 students. Department of Computer Science & Engineering was recognized as a Research Centre of VTU in the year 2018-19. Departmental staff community consists of 24 full-time faculty with 3 Ph.D Qualifications, 21 M.Tech qualifications and 5 faculty members pursuing Ph.D.
Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility : Candidates who have passed in 10+2 Examination are eligible with 45% marks in aggregate with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology, are eligible.
