Course
Master of Science in Mental Health Nursing is a postgraduate program offered by Amala Nursing College Thrissur. M.Sc. Mental Health Nursing is a two-year course specialising in Mental health of patients. Patience, dedication and compassion for the patients and their family is a very critical skill needed for this specialisation. The course prepares them to be an aid in assessing,diagnosing and treating mental health problems like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder,substance abuse etc. The course also trains them to treat patients with violence, anger issues,grief and other adjustment issues. After diagnosing tests, they have to make a treatment plan and follow it. If necessary, they should administer medications and psychotherapy to the patient.

Candidates must pass B.Sc. Nursing with one year teaching or clinical experience from any recognized board or University
