Master of Science in Nursing (M.Sc Nursing)
The two year program aims to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as a nurse specialists, consultant, educators, administrators in a wide variety of professional setting.
A nursing specialist is trained to act as a consultant in clinical practice and an educator to both nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Clinical management and leadership, utilising evidence based practice to ensure the attainment of excellence in patient care etc. come under the broad sphere relating to the duties of a specialist nurse.
Ensuring patient safety is a distinct element of providing quality care that needs to be integrated into all levels of health care delivery systems.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates who have passed regular BSc Nursing course with minimum 50% aggregate of any University in Kerala or any other University recognized as equivalent to it by Kerala University of Health Sciences.
- a) B.Sc. Nursing candidates should have one year experience/internship after Registration with Nursing Council.
- b) Post Basic BSc. Nursing qualified candidates shall have one year experience prior or after Post Basic BSc Nursing and registration in the respective State Nursing Council.
- Candidates should have valid registration from Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council (KNMC). Those candidates who have registration with other State Council should produce KNMC registration at the time of admission.
- Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from University outside Kerala State shall produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of qualifying examination from KUHS Thrissur. This should be furnished at the time of interview for admission.
