Course
M.E Aeronautical Engineering is a two-year post-graduate-level engineering program at Anna University Chennai. The candidate must be B. Tech/ BE graduate from a recognized institute. The program equips the engineers to design and develop aircraft and helicopter structural components using new technologies and business management skills.Anna University curriculum includes classroom training & practical in Aerodynamics, aircraft structures, aerospace propulsion, rocketry and space mechanics, finite element method, theory of vibrations, seminars, and projects. Some of the electives include computational fluid dynamics, aeroelasticity, helicopter aerodynamics, industrial aerodynamics, fatigue & fracture mechanics. Graduates can work in aeronautical and other industries like Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, National Aerospace Laboratory, Mahindra & Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, ISRO, DRDO as Aeronautical Engineer, Safety Engineer, Construction Engineer, Design Engineer, Associate Aeronautical Engineer, Aerodynamics Engineer, Principal Engineer Aeronautical, Researcher, and Educator.
