Course
M.Tech (Master of Technology) in Structural Engineering is a post graduation course delivered for two years APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Thiruvananthapuram. It is a specialised engineering programme of Civil Engineering. Students can undergo this course by completing their BE/Btech in civil engineering by accumulating 60% marks in all subjects from any recognised university/institute. Structural engineering is based on the design of the concrete structure, the study of advanced materials, and the analysis of the system of dynamic forces. The course is for aspirants with the analytical skills to construct different architectures that promote a safe silhouette. Students who take admission in this course will be trained to use the materials to create the design and advanced structural engineering concepts through projects and dissertation works. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University includes a curriculum with topics such as Structural Dynamics, Advanced Structural Analysis, Advanced Design of Steel Structures, Advance RCC design, Advanced Mathematics, Green Building Methodology, Computer-Aided Sad, RCC Bridge Design, Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity, Advance Concrete Technology, Environment Health and Safety, Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures, Structural Engineering Lab, Advanced Design Lab, Seminars and Dissertation Works.
