Course
Post Basic Diploma in critical care is a one-year program. It aims at training nurses to monitor, manage, supervise and give quality care to critically ill patients in intensive care settings. The syllabus includes specialties of surgery, medicine, renal, neurosciences, cardiac, obstetrics, haematology, neonatal nursing & paediatrics, accident and emergency. The applicant must be a registered nurse/midwife with a degree/diploma in nursing with at least one-year clinical experience. Physically fit registered staff nurses can only apply for this course. They should be capable of training, guiding and supporting other nurses, allied health care professionals and patient’s family in taking care of critically ill patients. The competent nurses can pursue their career as a critical care nurse, nursing specialists, clinical instructor and researcher.
Duration: 1 Year
Eligibility:
Candidates ( Female ) for Admission to post basic Diploma nursing courses should have qualified in diploma in general nursing and midwifery or B.Sc nursing or Post basic B.Sc. nursing and be a registered nurses and midwife in the Tamilnadu nurses and midwives council or equivalent.
