Course
The one-year post basic diploma in neurology nursing is designed to prepare nurses with advance skills, knowledge, techniques and attitude in providing quality care to patients with neurological problems and disorders. The registered nurses (RN or RM) with GNM/ B.Sc nursing or equivalent degree with one-year clinical experience are eligible to apply for this course. The syllabus covers advanced topics in neuroscience and clinically expose students into neurointensive care, neurosurgery and neuro medicine areas. It gives the students proper clinical judgement, problem-solving, communication and team skills need to take care of patients exhibiting complex neurological problems. The specialised nurses can pursue their career in neurological wards of hospitals, clinics and mental & neuroscience health institutes.
Duration: 1 Year
Eligibility:
Candidates ( Female ) for Admission to post basic Diploma nursing courses should have qualified in diploma in general nursing and midwifery or B.Sc. nursing or Post basic B.Sc. nursing and be a registered nurses and midwife in the Tamilnadu nurses and midwives council or equivalent.
