B.A. Sanskrit or Bachelor of Arts in Sanskrit is an undergraduate Sanskrit language course, revolving around literature and poetry. Sanskrit has a rich inheritance from vast arenas of knowledge such as Ayurveda, Literature, Drama, Law, Medicine, Philosophy and Astronomy. The most popular works in Sanskrit include the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagvad Gita and the 4 Vedas, 18 Puranas and 108 Upanishads which form the basis of the Hindu religion and have influenced other religions like Buddhism in South-east Asia.Sanskrit graduates have a great career scope in the fields of academics and writing and it serves as an invaluable learning platform for students interested in Indian history. A degree in Sanskrit enlightens students and widens their thought paradigms, however this course may not provide with a lucrative salary package. Students can opt for various jobs which are directly/indirectly related to Sanskrit
