Course
Sericulture or silk farming is an important term and it is nothing but the rearing of silkworms to produce raw silk. There are several commercial species of silkworms, but a species called Bombyxmori is the most widely used. The sericulture sector also is very much vital and also plays a major role in the development of the rural economy. Sericulture is the cottage industry, and hence it does the job of offering a wide range of employment opportunities to the women belonging to rural areas. The duration of the course is three years and it is career orienting in nature that opens many jobs opportunities in the very sector. The academic span of this degree course is 3 years and is divided into 6 semesters and also this course is hence career as well as job orienting in nature and has a very good standard

Eligibility :The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing B.Sc Sericulture course is a pass degree in Higher Secondary School or 10+2 with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology
