Master of Management Studies (MMS) is a two-year post graduate management program approved by the AICTE, same as MBA. It is basically, another name for MBA as some universities call their PG management program MBA, while some call theirs MMS. In India, most of the Maharashtra universities offer MMS instead of MBA.The MMS program is designed to develop business management skills and provide relevant training to individuals planning to make a career in the field. A candidate can pursue MMS right after Graduation.Just like MBA, the MMS program is open to students from all streams (Science, Humanities & Commerce) and is a gateway to various job opportunities in almost all the industries.The course is usually imparted semester-wise. Two years are divided into 6 semesters which includes theory classes, practical projects and internships. The first year of MMS program consists of subjects and topics designed to understand the basic of business administration and business management. In the second year, the candidates are given the option to study a specialization mainly, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Operations and Finance.
