B.E. Civil Engineering is an undergraduate engineering course.Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.
The Civil Engineering Department was started in the year 2009. The department runs undergraduate program with an intake of 60 seats. Master program M Tech in Structural Engineering was started in the year 2013 with an intake of 18 seats. The program is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Adichunchanagiri University. The department is well equipped with laboratories, seminar hall, computing facilities, library and other infrastructures. The department has well qualified and experienced 15 teaching faculty. It is also supported by 08 number of non teaching staff .The department also takes up consultancy work pertaining to planning, structural designs of buildings, testing of materials, soil investigation. The department has been actively involved in conducting conferences, workshops, FDP’s, Site Visits, Project Tours and several students related programs to provide a platform for sharing and spreading the latest developments in the field of Civil Engineering.Duration : 8 Semesters (4 Years)
Eligibility
- Pass in PUC / 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together, of any Board recognized by the respective State Governments / Central Government / Union Territories or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to.
