MD TB and Respiratory Medicine
Course
M.D. Tuberculosis & Respiratory Medicine or Doctor of Medicine in Tuberculosis & Respiratory Medicine is a postgraduate Medicine programme. The course describes aetiology, principles of diagnosis and management of common problems including emergencies, in adults and children. It helps to develop communication skill to explain various option available in management and to obtain a truly informed consent from the patient. A candidate pursuing the course should work in the institutions as a fulltime student. No candidate should be permitted to run a clinic/laboratory/nursing home while studying a postgraduate course.
Eligibility
- Post-graduation (MBBS or equivalent degree),completed from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
- A minimum aggregate score of 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of graduation.
- Preferably, a minimum of 12 months of professional experience, as most reputed institutes prefer candidates with work experience.
Duration: MD in Tuberculosis & Respiratory Medicine is a 2-year postgraduate course
