Course
Geriatrics, or geriatric medicine is a specialty that focuses on health care of elderly people. It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults.
Geriatric Care Certificate programs are designed to teach experienced nurses and social services workers how to work with elderly populations.Students in a geriatric care certificate program might gain a broad overview of gerontology while also learning the psychology, biology, and sociology of aging. Most geriatric care certificate programs are designed for professionals who already have basic knowledge of either patient care or counseling. Programs aim to teach these workers to apply those skills to the assessment, treatment, and management of the elderly.
Eligibility
Any candidate who is a student of BLDEA`s will be eligible for the admission to the certificate course in geriatric health care.
Duration
The duration of the course will be for 8 weeks (40 hours). Each working day shall consist of one hour of teaching (Practical/theory).
