Course
Mass spectrometry (MS) has become a powerful analytical technique with a wide range of application used in the Toxicological analysis of drugs, poisons, and metabolites of both. MS applications have permeated all fields of toxicology which include; environmental, clinical, and forensic toxicology.
Number of hours required: Course to be accommodated within 30 h.
Objectives of the course
Value added course for Medical, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Master’s of Science students.- to develop niche skilled man power - to enhance job prospects - for already employed enhance job skill. With increasing need drug monitoring blood and body fluids, drug abuse, complex criminal cases, and use of pesticides and food additives, need of manpower with specialized skill in identification of trace /residual amount of chemicals in blood, tissue, items used in crime, chemicals used in food such processed foods, soft drinks etc, pesticide residue in agricultural produce such as fruits and vegetables.
