M.Tech. Biochemical Engineering
Course
M.Tech. in Biochemical Engineering is a postgraduate course. Biochemical Engineering is the application of Chemical Engineering-based methods and approaches to industrial processes based on biological elements such as living cells or their components. Microbes and enzymes, for example, are used to produce useful chemical compounds such as antibiotics, and other medically useful chemicals, detergents, amino acids, etc.
Biochemical engineering is a branch of Chemical Engineering or Biological Engineering. The course essentially covers an advanced study of concepts and processes involved in the design and construction of unit processes involving biological organisms or molecules.
Eligibility
- A candidate with valid GATE score or PGCET of Karnataka
- A candidate who has passed qualifying examination (i.e., BE/B. Tech Degree) in the relevant discipline and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% of marks (for General Merir Candidates) taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to ME / M. Tech programs. ( 45% of marks in qualifying examination in case of SC, ST and Cat-I candidates. (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidate)
