Course
M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering and Management is a post graduate course.Transportation Engineering is one of the major branches of Civil Engineering and it involves planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of transportation facilities. The facilities support air, highway, railroad, pipeline, water, and even space transportation. Transportation Engineering includes sizing of transportation facilities, selection of materials and design of pavement and geometry of roadway.Transportation Engineering, students acquire advanced know-how concerning the planning, design, operations, performance, evaluation, maintenance and rehabilitation of transportation systems including their economics and social aspects. This field imbibes in each student analytic, problem-solving and management skills suitable for public and private sector professional works.
Eligibility
- A candidate with valid GATE score or PGCET of Karnataka
- A candidate who has passed qualifying examination (i.e., BE/B. Tech Degree) in the relevant discipline and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% of marks (for General Merir Candidates) taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to ME / M. Tech programs. ( 45% of marks in qualifying examination in case of SC, ST and Cat-I candidates. (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidate)
