Bachelor of Nursing (B.Sc) in Nursing is an UG Programme. Bachelor of Nursing (B.Sc) in Nursing course offered by Chettinad College of Nursing Chennai. The four-year undergraduate, B.Sc Nursing program, brings out professionally trained nurses and midwives for the demanding health care industry. Pandemic situation increased more demand for qualified nurses, and this is a career with no layover whether it is war, economic recession or pandemic. The course gives professional knowledge into the practical aspects of nursing including first aid, setting up and using medical equipment, administering medicines, maintaining medical records, coordinating the proper functioning of the health care facility and assisting the doctors during medical procedures and also offer research options.
Duration: 4 years
Eligibility:
- A candidate should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (10+2) i.e., (10+2) from recognized Board under AISSE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
- Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having science subjects and English.
- For the candidates belonging to SC/ ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40%.
