The City Hospital Charitable Trust (CHCT) is the sister concern of the Hospital Reasearch & Diagnostic Centre. Founded in 1989 with the singular objective to promote medical and paramedical education in this coastal region. The trust has been able to enlighten the students who have entered the portals of its institutions, and has been an oasis of education to the many students coming from the length and breath of the country.As a source of Inspiration and Empowerment for many youth to face the challenges of life the institution imparts meaningful and quality education. The City Hospital Charitable Trust is headed by well-known stalwarts of education, namely, Prof. (Dr.) K. Bhaskar Shetty, a well-known educationist and a renowned Surgeon, Dr. M. Sudhakar Shetty, a Medical Practitioner and Social Worker and Dr. Nithyaranjandas Hegde, a Social Worker. They are also the pioneers of the City Hospital Research & Diagnostic Centre.The institutions promoted by City Hospital Charitable Trust are unanimous choice for numerous students from India and Abroad. In addition to providing quality education, the Trust is also committed to provide quality health care service through its hospital.A “Free Clinic” at City Enclave – Shakthinagar as a gesture of social commitment to the society is also run by the Trust.
