Ph.D. in Law is a doctorate degree course. Ph.D. in Law course prepares students for leadership in judiciary, academics, business and government. The course offers a focus and an innovative approach to integrating legal scholarship within law, humanities and social sciences, global health, entrepreneurship, business, industry and public policy.
Ph.D. in Law course addresses both the civil law and criminology, which examines character evidence, expert testimony, privileges, relevance etc. This course focuses on the tactical and procedural introduction of all the evidence at trial in the courtroom. Some of the basic topics are the legislative process, deliberation, legisprudence, an agency interpretation. It will endeavour to expertize students with the case law, statutory, constitutional law, and bases for the components of practising law.
Eligibility
Students should graduate in their master’s degree in law/ social science/ humanities from any recognized university. Candidates who have qualified with more than 55% of marks or an equivalent are eligible for this course. (The percentage might differ for different institutes)
Duration: 3 Years (full-time/part-time external options available)
