Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Mechanical Engineering
Course
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Mechanical Engineering is a four-year undergraduate degree program. Candidates can study this program by completing their higher secondary examination from any recognised board with an aggregation of 60% marks and should accompany maths with physics and chemistry subjects. The main objective behind the students who are preparing for mechanical engineering must be aware of applying the basic principles in studying the manufacturing, designing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Mechanical engineering is a highly demanded career for skilled students, and such candidates can opt for a better career option in this field. The course syllabus is designed so that one would learn the practical and theoretical knowledge of different fields in mechanical engineering. The course contains a syllabus with main topics such as Strength of Materials, Materials Science,Thermodynamics, IC Engines, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Automobile Engineering etc.And whereas in the first year they have the common subjects such as Physics, Chemistry,Maths, Communication skills, Environmental science, engineering mechanics, Basic ElectricalEngineering, Engineering Graphics, etc. Second-year onwards the specialisation starts.Throughout the program, the students are compulsory to take any of the three electives in their program. The electives can be Computational Heat Transfer, Combustion Engineering,Reliability Engineering & Plant Maintenance, Tribology and Terotechnology, Non-conventional Energy Sources, Finite Element Method and its Application, Experimental Stress Analysis,Automotive Engineering, Robotics and Robot Applications, Management Information Systems,Energy Management & Auditing, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Optoelectronics and Laser Material Processing, Gas Turbine Theory, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, InformationTechnology, Total Quality Management, Mechanics of Composite Materials, Fracture Mechanics, Advanced Sensors for Engineering Applications & NDT, Entrepreneurship and E-business, and Computer Networking and Web-Based Technology. Apart from theory, studentsmust gain practical knowledge also and the prime most among them can be Graphics Laboratory, Manufacturing Process Laboratory, Electrical Machines Laboratory, Measurements and Instrumentation Laboratory, Manufacturing Technology Laboratory, Thermal Engineering Laboratory, Manufacturing Technology Laboratory, Strength of Materials Laboratory,Mechatronics and Modern Control Laboratory, Design Practice, Dynamics of MachinesLaboratory, CAD – CAM Laboratory, Industrial Engineering Laboratory.
Duration : 4 Years
Eligibility : The candidates must pass 10+2 with science (Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry) from a recognized board
