About Us
The College of Education under the management of benevolent and famous D.N.R. College Associationin Andhra Praadesh Affiliated toAdikavi Nannaya University. The Institution had the recognition of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bangalore. It offers courses of B.Ed and M.Ed. besides offering Research guidance at P.G. Level.
Infact the historical background of the D.N.R. College Association goes back to the year 1945.
On the eve of the formation of the West Godavari Bhimavaram College (W.G.B.College) in the year 1945, it was the fond wish of an elite section of the public to extend the educational opportunities to the public of every nook and Corner of the West Godavari District under the dynamic leadership of late Sri.Dantuluri Narayana Raju garu. Later the College was named after the founder leader and founder secretary Dantuluri Narayana Raju as D.N.R.College.
Noble and enlightened thoughts were spread and developed the college into the status of a Deemed University by introducing many new and worthy courses at the degree and post Graduate levels by starting Post Graduate Centre and some other new Colleges like College of law, College of Education, etc., Now the D.N.R.College Association is branched withdifferent faculties for Kindergarten to Post Graduate (K.G. to P.G.) level and Research facilities.
The Management of the D.N.R.College Association felt the dire need to start a College of Education to promote the Teacher Education and inturn to enhance the standards of School Education in Andhra Pradesh. The College of Education under D.N.R.College Association was established in the year 1983 with the approval of Govt. of Andhrapradesh. The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh upgraded this College to Post Graduate level by sanctioning M.Ed., Course from the academic year 1995-96.
Since the inception of the College, the academic values are being maintained and getting good results. Some of our students who were settled in the teaching profession were selected for best teacher awards at the District and State Levels.
