Course
B.Sc Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology is an allied health science undergraduate program offered by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada. The program focuses on producing competent professionals who can assist the doctor in ensuring sterilization of operation theatre materials, medical equipment management and helping the patient pre, post-operation and during the surgery and managing the patients’ record. The course covers subjects including applied anatomy and physiology, clinical pharmacology, clinical microbiology, medical ethics, anaesthetic techniques, CSSD procedures, intensive care, principles of anaesthesia, anaesthesia for speciality surgeries. Successful students can work in Operation Theatre, Critical Care Unit, ICU of various private and public hospitals.
