Bachelor of Science in Perfusion Technology is an undergraduate program offered by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada.B.Sc Perfusion Technology is a three-year degree course. The candidate must have passed plus two with physics, chemistry, biology, English as subjects. Perfusion Technology deals with physiology and pathology of the lungs, heart and other respiratory organs of the human being. The course also exposes students to heart-lung machines and other related medical equipment like ventilators and are taught to monitor and operate the machines. The candidate should be capable of working under stress, communicate effectively and possess strong analytical skills and attention for details. They can assume roles of perfusionists, educator, researcher, medical coder, medical equipment marketer in super speciality hospitals, clinics, social welfare organisations, research & development centres, medical equipment manufacturing/ marketing companies.
