Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Horticulture is a Doctorate Programme. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Horticulture course offered by Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University West Godavari. Horticulture is that the agriculture of plants, chiefly for food, materials, comfort and sweetness for adornment.[1] Horticulturists apply information, skills, and technologies to grow intensively made plants for human food and non-food uses and for private or social desires. Their work involves plant propagation and cultivation with the aim of up plant growth, yields, quality, biological process worth and resistance to insects, diseases and environmental stresses. They work as gardeners, growers, therapists, designers, and technical advisors within the food and non-food sectors of gardening.
Eligibility
Post-graduation degree in Horticulture or an M.Phil. with aggregate marks of 50% and above. Entrance Examination.
