Course
BA Journalism and Communication is designed to provide high-quality journalistic education, maintaining an optimum balance between theory and practice. This programme is designed to equip the students with knowledge in handling the latest technology advancement in media and journalism, with a balanced curriculum that challenges students to confront contemporary issues in media theory, cultural issues, research, policy, and management. To provide them practical knowledge about the industry, we also ensure to bring several eminent personalities from the journalism and media industry. Students are given hands-on experience through our in-house monthly magazine (GCC WORLD), a weekly newspaper (GCC Élan) and other periodicals. The course stimulates the students to become media professionals such as reporters, editors, PROs, advertising creative heads and corporate communication head in future.
The course materials are varied, ranging from Photojournalism, History of Print Media and Electronic Media, Indian Constitution, Gender Studies, Public Relations and Corporate Communications, New Media, Script Writing and Film Studies.
To encourage the innovative ideas of the students, we organize National Level Seminar “MEDIA SPARK”, where each student get equal opportunity to portray their research skill and come out with their innovations. Literature Fest, Theatre Fest “SIDEWALK”, National Film Festival “CARTE BLANCHE”, guest lectures and workshops presided over by industry professionals give the students a hands-on-training of the industry
This course is accredited by the regulating body of Garden City University and is approved by the regulatory authority of University Grants Commission.

Eligibility : Candidates who have passed in 10+2 / PUC or Equivalent
