The Masters in English Programme at Garden City University focusses on varied aspects of literature concentrating on topics as diverse as Global Literature, Gender Studies, Women’s Writings, Cultural Studies, Disability Literature and so on. The two year programme has exclusive courses designed just for understanding the relevance and importance of India Literature in English and how Indian Literature is a sensation in global literary platform. The programme has been planned in such a way that equal emphasis is given on classroom lectures and the joy the learning that include practical and job-oriented electives, compulsory minor and major projects, publishing research papers and mandatory internships. The objective behind each of the courses in the programme is to make sure that an individual opting for a MA programme in English not just studies literature but experiences it as a whole. The programme will also make sure that a student is made to think critically yet scientifically while analysing a text in question. With innovative teaching methodologies and aids and international standard of syllabus there is always a well maintained dialogic pattern in classroom communication. Eligibility
- Graduates who have secured 40% in the aggregate of all subjects and 50% marks in the cognate subject in the qualifying University examinations are eligible.
- Candidates with B.A., B.Sc. or B.Com Degree are eligible provided they have scored 55% marks in the Language concerned in the degree course.
