Greetings from GMIT, Davangere.In today's modern world one can be successful by keeping an edge over other competitors in every aspects of evaluation. Technical education is a vast field which is expanding its boundaries exponentially with time. It is a challenge to the managements/ service providers in the field of technical education to keep up pace with changing world and to establish a world class institution which sustains at all times in top positions. GMIT being established in the academic year 2000-2001 with the noble vision of our Founder Chairman Late Sri. G. Mallikarjunappa, Member of Parliament, Davangere is committed to provide hi-tech education to deserving students to transform themselves into a successful professional who will be able to face any kind of challenge in their career. There is a team of qualified dedicated efficient teaching and non teaching faculty which focuses and gives individual attention to every student to get moulded to the expectations of their parents.
Spread over a clean, green and pollution free campus of 56 acres, GMIT has established World class infrastructure, architecturally designed and built in all respects, meeting the norms of AICTE, New Delhi and VTU Belagavi. Apart from academic excellence, the institution provides to all its students a perfect ambience, to pursue technical education by making use of all modern and advanced facilities and amenities. The institution is awarded with the ISO 9001-2000 Certificate by RWTUV Germany which is an indicator of sophistication and quality which exists in every aspects of the institution.
The institution has consistent record of complete admission in all branches, excellent university results, and placement of eligible students in top IT industries, which speak the good teaching and learning practices adopted. To enhance and update the knowledge of students, there are student associations under every department and professional forums which keep up the competitive spirit among students by organizing seminars, workshops and conferences. We have a well maintained Library and Information Centre catering to all academic needs of students with over 6000 titles and 25000 volumes of engineering and technology. Digital library facility is there to access vast collection of e-journals and technical papers by students and researchers.
